Property Pursuit
Monopoly-style gameboard that explores and pursues the concept of advantages and disadvantages in purchasing a house versus renting an apartment, which is a very common topic that many Americans are facing. The project is a product of collaborative effort and communication of a designer team working together to produce a comprehensive game set that can achieve the interests of clients in this relevant topic.

Welcome to the neighborhood!
The primary objective of this project is to explore and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of purchasing a house versus renting an apartment, conveying the message that neither option is inherently superior to the other. The color palette was carefully selected to appeal to a wide age range, while also reflecting an environmentally-conscious theme.
The variety of colors from muted red, yellow, green, blue, and light purple is chosen to evoke feelings of friendliness and calmness. Human house figures symbolize the concept of human living, while the overall map as a whole represents a living space, expanding the overall concept outside of the indoor environment during the process of laying out the map.

Individual works
I was responsible for designing the in-game currency and the bottom of the game box. The money design drew inspiration from various Monopoly editions to maintain visual cohesion with the overall game aesthetic. Each denomination features a distinct house illustration, representing a range of property types from affordable to upscale. The initial designs were reviewed and refined based on feedback from Professor Crystal Lee, who incharge and oversaw the project.
For the bottom of the box, the goal was to visually communicate the structure of the game while emphasizing its core theme: fostering friendly and meaningful connections among players.
